Green Threads helps your organization coordinate a successful fundraising clothing drive and pays your company by the pound for collected clothing and textiles. We ensure that these unused items are not sent to landfills, but instead shipped worldwide to encourage economic growth and sustainable living in developing nations. With a Green Threads fundraising clothing drive, you’ll earn money for your organization and provide quality, wearable products to low-income communities.

Sponsoring a fundraising clothing drive with Green Threads is super easy and absolutely FREE. We’ll provide guidance and support throughout the entire collection process, handle the pickup and then pay your organization handsomely, allowing you to reinvest back into the needs of your organization or interest group.

Green Threads works a little differently than other clothing recycling partners in that we do not provide drop-off bins for clothing collection. Instead, each organization typically designates a room within their office or meeting place where donated clothing and textiles can be bagged and stored. When the collection process is complete, we’ll come pick up your collected items, prepare them for overseas sales and pay you per pound.

One of our dedicated team members will discuss your needs with you, explain the process in greater detail, answer your questions and schedule a pick up date for your event.

2Advertise and promote your fundraising clothing drive to get the word out and increase the amount of clothing, textiles, accessories, household goods and toys you collect. You can use social media, hang signs and posters or even include an announcement in your email newsletter. Remember – there’s virtually no limitations on how you can promote your event, so get creative and start advertising!

3Allow a designated number of days during which donations can be made and start collecting! We recommend choosing a room within your office or meeting place where all donations can be gathered, bagged and stored. This will make the pickup and loading process much easier and faster so you can get paid sooner!

When the scheduled pickup day arrives, our team will come to your location to collect all of the clothing and textiles you’ve amassed. For larger collections, we respectfully request that you continue with your team effort by designating 4-6 volunteers to help load the goods into our delivery truck on the date of pick up. This helps to move the process along more quickly so that you can collect your earnings and we can get all the donated items you worked so hard to gather into the hands of those who need them most.

Once your items have been picked up, we will weigh the load and issue payment to your organization or interest group. Then, your team can simply sit back and enjoy the great work you’ve done for your group, your local community and the greater global good!

What we do collect:
